Dastan Satpayev Joins Burnley on Loan from Chelsea

Chelsea’s teenage winger Dastan Satpayev is set to take his first step into English senior football with a loan move to Burnley.

The Kazakhstan international, who turned 18 on Wednesday, signed a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge – with an option for a further season – after pre-agreeing a £3.4m switch from Kairat FC in January 2025. Chelsea have wasted no time plotting his development path.

Satpayev has already travelled to Turf Moor and is expected to undergo a medical ahead of Burnley’s home clash with West Ham on Sunday. If all goes to plan, he will link up with the Championship side immediately, giving Burnley fresh attacking energy as they push into the autumn schedule.

Loan Reshuffle

The move forms part of a wider Chelsea loan reshuffle this week. Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has joined Portsmouth, Reggie Walsh has headed to Wigan Athletic, and Shim Mheuka is also closing in on a temporary move away.

Chelsea’s recruitment machine keeps stacking young talent. The loan carousel is already spinning. Satpayev’s challenge now is simple: turn potential into impact in the unforgiving grind of the Championship.
