Tottenham Loan Pape Matar Sarr to Juventus with Buy Option

Tottenham have agreed a deal with Juventus to send Pape Matar Sarr on loan, with a £25.7million option to buy at the end of the season.

The move marks the first major midfield departure of the window for Spurs, who are reshaping Roberto De Zerbi’s squad in the final days of the market.

Sarr’s switch to Turin comes as part of a wider late shake-up. Highly rated teenager Mikey Moore has been cleared to head to the Bundesliga, with his loan to Koln set to be finalised. Left-back Souza is also on the move, bound for Porto on a loan deal until the end of the campaign.

Spurs are not just trimming numbers. They are still pushing to bring in another attacker before the deadline and remain in talks with Everton over Iliman Ndiaye, as the club look to add one more forward option to De Zerbi’s front line.

Everton, for their part, are working on a separate deal to bring Richarlison back to Goodison Park, two years after his departure. The Brazilian is one of several players to have told De Zerbi they want out before the window shuts.

The Spurs head coach revealed over the weekend that Richarlison, Sarr and Kevin Danso have all asked to leave, with Danso attracting loan interest from Sunderland.

“He said too many times [that] he wants to leave. Danso came to me two days ago, and he said he wants to leave, and Pape Sarr, the same, but he suffer[ed] a small injury, but he is almost ready to train,” De Zerbi explained.

The Italian made his stance crystal clear: anyone who wants to go can go, as long as the numbers add up for Tottenham.

“I love these players, they are great guys, I have very good relationships, but if they want to leave, they have to bring the solution, the economic solution, to the club, and they can go, and we find other players.”

With Sarr heading to Juventus, Moore to Koln and Souza to Porto, the solutions are arriving. The real question now is how quickly Spurs can land that new attacker to turn this flurry of exits into a squad that looks stronger, not lighter, when the window slams shut.
