Tottenham Hotspur and Everton have reportedly reached separate agreements for two significant player moves: Iliman Ndiaye is set to join Spurs, while Richarlison will return to Everton. These changes come as Tottenham faces a tough start to the Premier League season without a win.

Separate Agreements for Ndiaye and Richarlison

The clubs are finalizing deals independently, with Ndiaye heading north to London after declining contract renewals from Everton last season. Richarlison is expected to move back to Merseyside. Both transfers still need to clear medical checks and personal terms before completion.

Ndiaye’s arrival offers Tottenham some relief after missing out on Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, who chose Manchester City instead.

De Zerbi Talks Transfer Requests and Squad Issues

Tottenham’s coach, Roberto De Zerbi, confirmed that Richarlison, Kevin Danso, and Pape Matar Sarr asked to leave the club before the transfer deadline. The trio was left out of the recent 2-0 home loss against Newcastle United. De Zerbi expressed frustration over Richarlison’s repeated desire to leave but emphasized he holds no grudges, stating strong relationships remain with the players. He insisted that if they want to exit, they must provide an economic solution for the club.

"Richarlison, I don’t know. He said too many times he wants to leave," De Zerbi explained. "Danso came to me two days ago and he said he wants to leave. Pape Sarr the same, but he suffered a small injury, but he is almost ready to train."

Richarlison Returns to Everton After Productive Tottenham Spell

Richarlison departs Tottenham after scoring 32 goals in 134 appearances since his £60 million signing in 2022. He heads back to Everton, where he had become a fan favorite with 53 goals in 152 matches.

Tottenham’s £350 million summer overhaul is facing challenges as marquee signings like £100m midfielder Sandro Tonali and forwards Omar Marmoush and Savinho have yet to make a strong impact. Spurs narrowly avoided relegation last season but appear fragile now.

The team sits bottom of the league following a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle and a 3-0 loss at Brentford, marking their worst start since 1974-75 when they lost their first two league matches without scoring.
