Juventus Signs Pape Matar Sarr on Loan from Tottenham

Juventus have struck a deal with Tottenham Hotspur to sign midfielder Pape Matar Sarr in a move that could rise to €30 million, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The 23-year-old Senegal international will head to Turin on an initial loan, with Juventus securing an option to buy. That clause will not stay optional for long if the season goes to plan. The buy option becomes an obligation should performance-related conditions be hit, including Juventus qualifying for the Champions League and Sarr reaching agreed appearance thresholds.

Juventus had been searching for a dynamic midfielder deep into the window after other targets slipped away. Sarr quickly emerged as the preferred solution: high-energy, aggressive in the press, capable of driving from box to box and breaking up play.
