"Don’t get me wrong, La Liga is a league full of incredible tactics and skill, and winning titles there taught me a lot. But the Premier League is a different beast when it comes to raw power and pace," Araujo added.

Despite the initial shock, Araujo sees England’s demands as a proving ground for defenders. He believes that thriving in the Premier League is the ultimate test for a centre-back.

"If a defender can establish himself here, fight through weekly battles, and succeed, returning to La Liga to dominate would be easy," he said. "Every minute here is a fight, and I’m ready to fight for my place at Anfield."
