Juventus Pursue Kolo Muani Reunion Amid Attack Overhaul

Juventus are ripping up their forward line and starting again. And right in the middle of the rebuild, Randal Kolo Muani has re-emerged as a central piece of the plan.

The French striker, who impressed in a short but sharp spell in Turin in the second half of 2024-25, is open to a return. Multiple sources in Italy and France agree on that point, and Juventus have kept the line to Paris warm as they work on a deal with PSG.

At the same time, the Bianconeri are deep in talks with Atletico Madrid for Alexander Sorloth and already have an agreement in place with the Norway international. The idea is clear: two new centre-forwards, two very different profiles, one rebuilt attack.

Old guard out, new frontline in

The need for change is brutal and obvious. Dusan Vlahovic will walk away as a free agent when his contract expires on June 30, leaving a sizeable gap both in goals and in status. The club had banked on Lois Openda and Jonathan David to grow into that responsibility, but their debut season in Turin fell flat. Neither convinced, neither imposed himself, and Juventus are now prepared to listen to offers for both this summer.

That decision has forced a reset. No half-measures, no minor tweaks. A new attacking hierarchy is coming.

Sorloth is one pillar of that project, a target man with presence and a proven eye for goal. But inside the club there is a strong push to bring back Kolo Muani, whose blend of pace, movement and finishing lit up the Allianz Stadium for a few months.

Price gap with PSG, but room to negotiate

The talks with PSG are live and delicate. According to reports from Romeo Agresti of Sky Sport and Tuttosport, the French champions value Kolo Muani at around €35 million. Juventus, working under tighter financial margins, do not want to go beyond €30m.

That gap matters, but it is not unbridgeable.

PSG, for their part, have little interest in keeping the striker. He does not figure in Luis Enrique’s plans, and with his contract running until June 2028, the club are keen to move him on rather than extend or park him on the bench. That context opens the door to creative solutions.

One option on the table is a loan with an obligation to buy, triggered by conditions that are almost guaranteed to be met. It would allow Juventus to spread the cost and PSG to secure a sale figure close to their valuation.

Both clubs know the player is ready to move. That usually accelerates deals.

Kolo Muani’s Turin temptation

Kolo Muani has already shown what he can do in black and white. Ten goals in 22 appearances for Juventus in the second half of last season left a strong impression, not just on the stands but inside the dressing room and the boardroom. He adapted quickly, attacked space with intelligence and gave the side a vertical threat they had been missing.

Crucially, he is understood to be eager to come back, even with Juventus set to miss out on Champions League football in 2026-27. That willingness says plenty about how he viewed his first spell in Turin and how he sees his role in the next version of this team.

For Juventus, that mentality counts. They are not just replacing names on a team sheet; they are trying to build a forward line that can define the next cycle.

Sorloth is close. Kolo Muani is within reach. If the numbers finally line up with PSG, the Allianz Stadium could soon welcome back a striker who already knows exactly where the net is in Turin.
