Bournemouth looks set to complete the signing of 22-year-old centre-back Antonio Silva from Benfica. The Cherries became frontrunners once it was clear Silva would leave Benfica this summer. Although progress stalled recently, sources like Record suggest the deal is nearly finalized, pending only minor details.

Silva is expected to play in Benfica’s Europa League qualifier against St Gallen, likely his final match before moving on. Having made 182 appearances for Benfica across all competitions and earned 20 caps for Portugal, Silva was once seen as one of the top young defenders worldwide but has struggled recently.

Newcastle Monitor Braga Goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek

Newcastle United reportedly keep an eye on 24-year-old goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek, although no formal offer has been made yet. Hornicek played 55 matches for Braga last season and totals 88 appearances for the club since breaking through.
