Crystal Palace Sign Anan Khalaili on Long-Term Deal

Crystal Palace have landed Israel international Anan Khalaili on a long-term deal running to 2031, a statement signing for a club gearing up for European football.

The Eagles are understood to have paid around £21m for the 21-year-old, who arrives from Union Saint-Gilloise after a breakout spell in Belgium. Comfortable both at full-back and further forward on the wing, he offers Pierre Sage tactical flexibility and serious energy down the flank.

Khalaili’s rise has been sharp. Since joining Union Saint-Gilloise in 2024, he helped drive the club to a historic Belgian Pro League title – their first in 90 years – and added a Belgian Cup to complete a remarkable domestic double. On top of that, he carried his form onto the European stage, scoring three of his six goals last season in the Champions League.

That European pedigree now feeds straight into Palace’s Europa League campaign. For a squad about to test itself on Thursday nights, a young player already used to high-pressure continental fixtures is a valuable addition.

"I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it's a new challenge for me," Khalaili said as the move was confirmed. "And Crystal Palace I like, because I have followed them for a long time. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more."

His ambition fits neatly with the club’s own growing expectations. Palace, increasingly confident under Sage, have been busy reshaping the squad this summer, and Khalaili becomes the fifth new face through the door.

A title-winner from Brussels, a Champions League scorer, and now a Premier League arrival. Palace have made their move. The question is how quickly Khalaili turns that promise into end product in England’s top flight.
