The Barcelona Board of Directors confirmed that the meeting will take place on Saturday, 19 September, streamed from Auditori 1899 at Spotify Camp Nou. The session aims to present detailed financial reports and institutional accomplishments throughout the fiscal year. Arrangements were finalized during the board meeting on 3 September, with full agenda notifications to be sent out soon. The club promised transparency by releasing comprehensive financial information ahead of the event.

Breaking the Billion-Euro Barrier

This season’s standout financial highlight is the club’s historic revenue breakthrough. For the first time ever, Barcelona exceeded €1 billion in income over a single season. This achievement guarantees positive ordinary results for the third straight year, fulfilling their goal of financial stability amid a challenging period of transition.

“The meeting today was to present the annual accounts for the 25/26 season, which show positive ordinary results for a third consecutive season, as such meeting the target of financial stability in a season marked by significant operational and capacity considerations,” said the club’s official statement.

Overcoming Stadium Capacity Limitations

Remarkably, the club reached this financial peak despite severe restrictions on stadium attendance. For the first half of the season, home games were split between Estadi Johan Cruyff and Estadi Olímpic due to ongoing renovations. Even after returning to Camp Nou, spectator capacity was capped at 42,000, far below the usual 60,000 seats initially planned.

Despite these challenges, Barcelona managed to almost meet its annual budget expectations, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.

Strong Future Prospects at Camp Nou

The club’s current financial strength highlights the enormous earning potential once Camp Nou’s renovations finish. The fully operational stadium is expected to become a major source of revenue, helping Barcelona distance itself from recent economic difficulties.
