Amankwah Forson Joins Hapoel Be'er Sheva on Loan

Amankwah Forson has left Norwich City for a season-long loan spell with Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva, stepping into European group-stage football in search of a bigger stage and more minutes.

The 23-year-old midfielder only arrived at Carrow Road in 2024, signing a four-year deal from Austrian champions RB Salzburg. He quickly became a regular option for the Canaries, making 44 appearances in all competitions and scoring four goals, while also adding energy and bite to the middle of the pitch.

Now he swaps the Championship grind for the heat of the Negev and the glare of continental competition.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva

Hapoel Be'er Sheva, six-time champions of Israel, have booked their place in the league phase of this season’s Europa League. It is no gentle introduction. Their group includes Juventus, AFC Bournemouth and Besiktas – a demanding schedule that offers Forson the chance to test himself against heavyweight opposition.

The Ghana international, already capped at senior level, will carry both Norwich’s investment and his national-team ambitions into a campaign that could define the next step of his career.
