Troy Deeney's Premier League Team of the Week

After each round of Premier League action, Troy Deeney shares his picks for the best performers. This week’s lineup showcases some impressive displays—do you agree with his choices?

Goalkeeper

• David Raya (Arsenal): Made crucial saves once again, proving why he’s considered one of the league’s top goalkeepers with consistent big moments.

Defenders

• Ezri Konsa (Arsenal): Delivered a solid showing and made a vital tackle on Morgan Rogers. He fits perfectly in Arsenal’s setup, potentially securing a right-back spot when the squad is fully fit.
• Ronald Araujo (Liverpool): Despite previous criticism about his defending at Barcelona, he’s been strong for Liverpool, even adapting to play at right-back effectively.
• Tyrick Mitchell (Crystal Palace): Scored twice from left-back and continues to be remarkably consistent, though often overlooked.

Midfielders and Wingers

• Harvey Barnes (Newcastle): Found the net with a precise finish into the far corner, quietly delivering excellent performances away from the spotlight.
• Martin Odegaard (Arsenal): Leads as captain and motivator. His impact makes you question past doubts about his future at the club.
• Cody Gakpo (Liverpool): Created two goals from midfield, showing great composure despite transfer speculation linking him to other clubs.
• Cesar Palacios (Fulham) & Vitaly Janelt (Brentford): Both played important roles that often go unnoticed unless they score, but their contributions are vital for their teams.

Forwards

• Alexander Isak (Liverpool): Despite criticisms due to injuries last season and a quiet game against Newcastle, he remains a key player tipped for the Golden Boot.
• Kai Havertz (Arsenal): The standout striker for Arsenal, consistently proving himself as their best finisher and most skilled attacker over others like Gyokeres.

Manager

• David Moyes (Everton): Managed to get a positive result despite a challenging transfer window and losing attacking options.
