Swansea Set to Loan Zeidane Inoussa to Portsmouth

Swansea City winger Zeidane Inoussa is set to join Portsmouth on loan for the rest of the season, as the Welsh club continue to reshape their options out wide.

The 24-year-old arrived at Swansea only last summer from BK Hacken for a significant fee, billed as a long-term project and tied down on a contract running to 2030. His first campaign in the Championship never really caught fire. Injuries disrupted his rhythm, minutes were scattered, and he finished with one goal in 29 appearances.

Now comes a reset.

Swansea’s summer business on the flanks has changed the picture. Moussa Yeo and Joseph Opoku are already through the door, while Manchester City youngster Jeremy Monga is expected to follow. With that level of competition building, Swansea are prepared to let Inoussa leave in search of regular football.

Portsmouth, promoted and ambitious, are ready to give him that chance. The deal will be a loan until the end of the season, a move that suits all three parties if Inoussa can finally string together a consistent run of games in the Championship.

He is not the only winger Swansea are looking to move on. The club are also keen to offload Florian Bianchini after his underwhelming loan spell at Portsmouth last season, a stint that never truly clicked on the south coast.

There is also uncertainty around Ronald, another wide player whose future has come under speculation as the recruitment drive continues.

Swansea’s message is clear: the wings are being rebuilt. Inoussa’s next step, at Fratton Park, will show whether he can still force his way back into those long-term plans.
