Lucy O’Brien Signs New Deal with Ipswich Town Until 2027

Ipswich Town have secured a key piece of their attacking core with Lucy O’Brien signing a new contract that keeps her at Portman Road through the 2026/27 season.

The 22-year-old, a former England youth international, had been heading towards the end of her existing deal this summer. Ipswich moved decisively to shut down any uncertainty, tying down a player who has grown up with the club and now sits at the heart of their ambitions.

O’Brien is Ipswich through and through. She came through the academy, forced her way into the senior side, and lifted the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division title in the 2024/25 campaign. That triumph underlined her importance in a side on the rise.
