Jamal Musiala's Recovery Progress: Bayern's Cautious Approach

Jamal Musiala has taken a significant step back towards full action, but Bayern are refusing to cut corners with their midfield jewel.

According to Bild, the 23-year-old’s medication dosage was recently increased after he suffered two collapses in friendly matches, linked to brief neurological disturbances and short losses of consciousness. The incidents prompted immediate caution inside the club, and the medical team have been heavily involved in shaping the next steps.

The message from the coaching staff is clear: there will be no rush. Internally, the feeling is that Musiala’s return must be managed carefully, even as the player himself pushes through the final stages of his recovery.

On Monday afternoon, though, there was a sight Bayern fans have been waiting for. Musiala completed the full team training session, looking sharp and physically strong. He threw himself into duels, stayed involved from first drill to last and showed no sign of holding back.

The session was split between the main pitch, where a protective screen was in place, and an adjacent pitch without it, but Musiala moved seamlessly through both phases with the rest of the squad.

For Vincent Kompany, the update could hardly be better. With Musiala and Serge Gnabry both back in full training, Bild reports that the Bayern coach now has his entire squad available. No one is sidelined. No one is stuck in individual rehab.

After a summer of medical bulletins and cautious timelines, Bayern finally have a full deck to play with.
