Jadon Sancho’s next move is back on the table – and England is calling again.

Two unnamed Premier League clubs have opened talks over bringing the winger back to the top flight, with discussions ongoing between their hierarchies and Sancho’s representatives as he assesses his options for the season ahead, according to TeamTalk.

Sancho is in a rare position for a player of his profile: he is a free agent. That status means the 26-year-old can still sign for a new club despite the transfer window having closed a week ago, giving him valuable breathing space while others are locked in.

Villa loan fails to ignite career

His most recent audition in England did little to restore his reputation.

Sancho spent the 2025/26 campaign, the final year of his Manchester United contract, on loan at Aston Villa. Under Unai Emery, he never truly forced his way into the core of the side. The numbers underline the struggle: just nine Premier League starts and no goals in 23 appearances.
