Ferran Torres Scores Hat-Trick as PSG Dominate Slovan Bratislava in Champions League Opener

Torres Shines with Hat-Trick in European Debut

Ferran Torres made an unforgettable start to his Champions League journey with Paris Saint-Germain, netting a stunning hat-trick against Slovan Bratislava. This commanding 6-1 victory on home turf sets a strong tone for PSG's title defence, easing concerns after their rocky start in domestic competitions.

Dembele’s First-Half Brilliance

Before Torres stole the show, Ousmane Dembele was pivotal in dismantling the visitors. The Ballon d'Or winner struck twice within six intense minutes early on, giving PSG clear dominance. His first goal came after a rebound from Nuno Mendes’ fierce shot hit the post at 17 minutes. Moments later, Dembele headed in a deflected cross from Dro Fernandez, doubling the lead.

He then set up Torres with a precise cross into the six-yard box, allowing the new signing to tap in and end the first half on a high note.

Tactical Errors Punish Slovan Under Toure

Managed by former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, Slovan Bratislava struggled to cope with PSG’s high press, especially when trying to build from the back. These mistakes were costly.

Torres quickly added his second goal just two minutes after halftime, finishing smartly following a clever run and pass from Maghnes Akliouche. He completed his hat-trick by converting Dembele’s corner kick amid a crowded penalty area.

Suleiman Camara pulled one back for Slovan with a well-struck shot into the top corner, but Fabian Ruiz sealed the emphatic win late on with a precise finish.

Looking Ahead for PSG

This dominant European display offers a boost for PSG after an unusual start to the season. Currently 13th in Ligue 1 without a win — having drawn twice and lost once — the Parisian giants face pressure to improve domestically while maintaining their Champions League momentum.
