Djed Spence Set for Transfer to Inter Milan
Djed Spence is on the brink of swapping north London for Milan, with the England international expected to land in Italy tonight ahead of a medical that will seal his move from Tottenham to Inter.
The deal between the clubs has been thrashed out after drawn‑out talks this week: a fixed fee of €31.5m, rising to €35m with bonuses. Tottenham have also secured a 10 per cent cut of any future sale, a clear sign they still believe there is more value to come from the 23-year-old.
Bags Packed for Milan
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Spence has already packed up and is due to touch down in Milan this evening. He will head straight to a hotel, a brief pause before a decisive Friday.
Tomorrow brings the medicals. First with Inter’s own staff, then with specialists from CONI, the Italian Olympic Committee, as required for players registering in Serie A. Only once he passes those checks will the final paperwork fall into place.
On the table: a five-year contract. The deal is believed to be worth around €2.6m per season, with performance-related bonuses layered on top. A long commitment, and a clear statement that Inter see him as part of their core for the foreseeable future.
A Number with History
Spence has even moved early on one detail that supporters always look for: the shirt number. It is understood he has chosen 24, a jersey that carries a familiar link for Tottenham fans. Christian Eriksen, another former Spurs favourite, wore that number during his own spell at San Siro.
Now it is Spence’s turn to try to make it his own in Milan.
