Chelsea Eyes Real Madrid's Camavinga Amid Enzo Fernandez Transfer Rumors

Chelsea Targets Real Madrid Midfielder Eduardo Camavinga

Chelsea is considering a late transfer move for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga after three rejected offers for Bournemouth's Alex Scott. The club’s pursuit of Scott, who is priced high by Bournemouth, has stalled with the Cherries refusing to sell the 23-year-old. Chelsea's top bid reportedly hit £68 million but was turned down, pushing manager Xabi Alonso to explore other midfield options.

Camavinga, linked with an exit from Madrid following Jose Mourinho's arrival, has attracted interest from several clubs including Manchester United, which recently signed Carlos Baleba from Brighton.

Enzo Fernandez Pushes for Stamford Bridge Exit

Meanwhile, Enzo Fernandez, rated at £120 million by Chelsea, is keen to leave the London club before the transfer window closes. His hoped-for move to Real Madrid collapsed, yet he might still depart this summer. Manchester City, managed by ex-Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca, remains interested in signing him as they search for a quality replacement following Rodri’s transfer to Barcelona for £65 million.

City is also preparing to spend £86 million on Moroccan talent Ayyoub Bouaddi but continues to target Fernandez despite the big investment.

Chelsea's Firm Stance and Contingency Plans

Chelsea insists they are not actively selling Fernandez, valuing him at a hefty £120 million. Yet, the club is planning alternatives should he secure a last-minute transfer. Besides Camavinga, Chelsea is keeping tabs on Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Roma’s Manu Kone, both impressive performers attracting attention.

Fernandez in Alonso’s Plans Amid Transfer Drama

Despite the ongoing uncertainty, Fernandez featured as a substitute in Chelsea’s 3-2 Premier League win against Fulham, marking a winning start for Alonso’s managerial career in England. Goals from Joao Pedro, Morgan Rogers, and Cole Palmer sealed the victory.

Chelsea now shifts focus to cup competitions, facing Luton Town from League One in the EFL Cup followed by a league match against Brighton.
