AS Roma vs Fenerbahçe: Expected Lineups and Team Updates for UEFA Champions League Clash

AS Roma Faces Fenerbahçe in Champions League Return

After a long break, AS Roma and Fenerbahçe are back in the UEFA Champions League, meeting for their opening group stage match on Thursday at Istanbul’s Chobani Stadyumu.

AS Roma's Strong Form Heading Into the Match

AS Roma arrive in Istanbul in great shape, riding a wave of victories in Serie A under coach Gian Piero Gasperini. The Italian side tops the Serie A standings, having won all three of their initial league games. They started their season with emphatic 4-0 wins over both Fiorentina and Lecce, then held on to a narrow 2-1 victory against Atalanta last weekend to keep their perfect record intact.

Team News: AS Roma

Roma head into this game with plenty of momentum and almost a full squad available. Their only notable absentee is captain Lorenzo Pellegrini, who is sidelined due to a persistent thigh injury and will not travel with the team.

Manager Gian Piero Gasperini can count on his core attacking talents, with in-form striker Donyell Malen and playmaker Paulo Dybala ready to start. Additionally, Matias Soulé and full-back Nahuel Molina are expected to be part of the starting lineup.

Predicted Starting XI for AS Roma
