Watford Signs Iker Bravo to Boost Attack
Watford have moved to sharpen their attacking edge with the signing of Spain Under-21 forward Iker Bravo from Udinese on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
It is a quietly ambitious piece of business. Bravo is only 21, but his CV already reads like a tour of European elite academies. He grew up in Barcelona’s famed La Masia system, left for Bayer Leverkusen in 2021 and later sampled the pressure cooker of Real Madrid B on loan. Udinese picked him up in 2024 and used him regularly: 37 appearances, three goals, a year of hard football education in Serie A surroundings.
The real headline on his profile, though, came last summer. Bravo was named player of the tournament as Spain lifted the 2024 Uefa Under-19 Championship, a nod from continental judges that this is a forward worth tracking.
Watford clearly agree.
“Iker is a promising young talent,” said group technical director Gian Luca Nani as the deal was confirmed. “His development at Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and with the Spanish national teams speaks for itself. We are confident he will be a valuable addition to the squad and bring new attacking options to the team.”
Watford’s recruitment team have leaned into potential rather than finished product here. Bravo’s goal return at Udinese was modest, but 37 outings at that age hint at trust from coaches and a willingness to graft in different roles across the frontline.
Now he lands at Vicarage Road with a three-year window to turn pedigree into end product. For a club trying to plot a route back towards the top flight, the question is simple: can this La Masia graduate become the cutting edge that finally tilts tight games their way?
