Sorba Thomas Escapes Injury After Car Overturns Near Hull City Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped without injury after his car overturned in a crash close to the club’s training ground on Friday morning.

The incident happened on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, a short distance from the Tigers’ facilities. Images from the scene showed a grey Land Rover Defender on its roof, windows smashed, resting awkwardly across the road.

Thomas, 27, managed to climb out of the vehicle and walked away from the crash.

Humberside Police confirmed emergency services remained at the scene as investigations continued and urged the public to avoid the area while the road was dealt with.

Hull City later moved to calm growing concern among supporters as pictures of the wrecked car spread rapidly on social media.

In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn that Thomas was unharmed. The winger only joined Hull earlier this month from Stoke City and has quickly become part of the first-team picture.

“The club is aware of images of Sorba's car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed,” Hull said.
