Mohamed Salah and Fabinho Encourage Tottenham's Richarlison to Join Trabzonspor Before Transfer Deadline

Richarlison's Potential Move to Trabzonspor

Mohamed Salah and Fabinho have personally reached out to Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison, urging him to consider a transfer to Turkish club Trabzonspor. The Brazilian striker, currently sidelined in north London, is seeking a way out as the transfer window deadline approaches on September 4.

Stalled Negotiations and Transfer Details

Richarlison’s future at Tottenham looks uncertain as talks with Trabzonspor encounter hurdles. Tottenham rejected an initial offer of around €20 million (£17 million) from the Turkish side late in the window. This refusal has left Richarlison’s representatives doubtful about reaching an agreement before the Turkish Super Lig deadline closes.

Support from Former Teammates

According to ESPN Brazil, Salah and his former World Cup teammate Fabinho contacted Richarlison directly to encourage the move to Turkey. The forward wants a fresh start and has publicly stated he will manage his next career steps independently. Relations between Richarlison and Tottenham’s management have deteriorated rapidly, with frustration growing over the club’s rigid stance.

Exclusion From First Team

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi has left Richarlison out of Tottenham’s Premier League squad following a failed transfer to Everton. The player now trains with the under-21 team, signaling his exclusion from first-team plans this season. Should the Trabzonspor deal fall through, Richarlison may explore other markets such as Saudi Arabia or face several months without competitive football.

Transfer Deadline Pressure

Trabzonspor must meet Tottenham’s asking price of £35 million before the Turkish transfer window closes at 23:59 on September 4. Failure to do so means Richarlison will remain frozen out until the January window opens. Tottenham and De Zerbi aim to focus on strengthening their frontline with new signings.
