Roma Targets Nicolo Tresoldi as New Forward

Roma’s search for a new forward has taken another sharp turn. With talks for Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville collapsing earlier in the month, the Giallorossi have now zeroed in on Nicolo Tresoldi of Club Brugge as the next major target for Gian Piero Gasperini’s frontline.

It is a move that fits the coach’s ideas. The young German striker is exactly the kind of profile Gasperini tends to elevate: energetic, aggressive, and willing to work without the ball as much as with it. Those close to the negotiations describe him as a player the Roma boss “likes very much” – not a passing fancy, but a genuine priority.

According to Il Tempo journalists Filippo Biafora and Lorenzo Pes, Roma have already opened talks with Club Brugge. The dialogue is active, the lines are open, and the club’s hierarchy is pushing to turn interest into a concrete deal.

On the player’s side, the picture is clear. Tresoldi has already communicated his desire to join Roma, giving the Italian club a strong starting position in personal terms. He wants Serie A. He wants Gasperini.

The obstacle sits in Belgium. Brugge are holding firm and continue to demand high figures for their striker, aware of his potential and in no rush to sell on the cheap. Roma must now decide how far they are willing to go to back their new coach’s vision.

The will of the player is there. The coach’s approval is emphatic. What remains is the classic test of ambition: will Roma meet Brugge’s price, or watch another attacking target slip away?
