According to reports in Spain and France, the Barcelona defender has been singled out as a specific request from Luis Enrique, a targeted move to reshape the heart of the French champions’ back line.

This is not a cold, distant negotiation either. PSG are already in talks with Barcelona over a deal for forward Ferran Torres, and the French club plan to ride that existing channel hard.
