Napoli Targets Gabriel Jesus, Joshua Zirkzee, and Nicolas Jackson in Bold Premier League Striker Pursuit

Napoli Pursues Trio of Premier League Strikers to Boost Attack

Napoli have launched inquiries into acquiring forwards Gabriel Jesus, Joshua Zirkzee, and Nicolas Jackson as they seek to strengthen their attacking lineup.

Chasing New Forward Options

Following the exit of Romelu Lukaku to Fenerbahce, Napoli is actively exploring striker options to reinforce their front line. Their current attack includes David Neres, Rasmus Hojlund, Matteo Politano, and Alisson Santos, but the club wants a sharp goalscorer to remain competitive.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli is examining multiple targets to ensure they can act fast should the right deal present itself before the transfer deadline.

Gabriel Jesus: Proven Winner

The Brazilian forward started his senior career at Palmeiras, earning accolades such as Best Newcomer in the 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and winning the Copa do Brasil. He secured the Bola de Ouro in 2016 while helping Palmeiras capture their first national league title in over two decades.

Jesus moved to Manchester City in January 2017 for £27 million and collected four Premier League titles, three EFL Cups, and an FA Cup during his tenure. In July 2022, he joined Arsenal for £45 million. After missing much of 2025 due to injury, he returned in December 2025, scoring his first goal in over 11 months against Aston Villa.

Joshua Zirkzee: Serie A Star on the Rise

Zirkzee, currently at Manchester United, came through Bayern Munich’s youth system and made 17 first-team appearances before loan spells at Parma and Anderlecht. He permanently transferred to Bologna in August 2022, where his performances earned him a place in the 2023–24 Serie A Team of the Year and the Best Under-23 player award.

These achievements helped secure a move to Manchester United in July 2024. Now, his situation at Old Trafford has attracted interest from clubs like Napoli looking to add fresh firepower.

Nicolas Jackson: Chelsea’s Emerging Talent

The third target is Chelsea’s forward Jackson, who progressed through Casa Sports and Villarreal. He debuted in La Liga in 2021 and signed an eight-year contract with Chelsea in 2023 for around £32 million. Jackson scored in the 2025 UEFA Conference League final against Real Betis.

He spent the 2025–26 season on loan at Bayern Munich for €16.5 million, scoring in the Champions League and helping Bayern secure the Bundesliga title by defeating VfB Stuttgart. With this experience, Napoli is seriously considering him among their striker options.
