Mikey Moore Joins FC Koln on Loan After Impressive Season at Rangers

Mikey Moore Heads to FC Koln on Season-Long Loan

Mikey Moore, the Tottenham Hotspur winger, has moved to Bundesliga side FC Koln on a season-long loan deal. This follows a strong 2025-26 season with Rangers, where the 19-year-old stood out by scoring seven goals and providing four assists.

Standout Season at Rangers

Moore featured in 47 games for Rangers last season, earning the Young Player of the Year award for his efforts. Having already made 21 senior appearances for Spurs, he now aims to secure regular first-team football in Germany's top division during the 2026-27 campaign.

Koln Sporting Director Praises Moore

Thomas Kessler, FC Koln’s sporting director, expressed excitement about the signing. He said that despite Moore's youth, he shows impressive maturity. Kessler emphasized Moore's technical skill, creativity, and boldness in one-on-one situations. The winger's energy and fearless approach will add valuable options in attack and bring versatility to the squad. Kessler is confident that Moore will continue to develop while at Koln.

Moore Welcomes New Challenge in Germany

Moore explained that the club's persistent interest and attacking style convinced him quickly. He enjoyed the discussions with Koln’s management and was drawn by the chance to play in the Bundesliga. The England youth international is eager to contribute immediately, aiming to score goals and assist teammates to help Koln maintain their strong start.

Upcoming Bundesliga Debut Against VfB Stuttgart

The young English talent is expected to make his Bundesliga debut when FC Koln face VfB Stuttgart on Friday. Koln have started the season well with a 2-1 win in the DFB-Pokal against Wurzburger Kickers and a 3-2 victory over Hoffenheim in the league. Moore will join fellow English players Reigan Heskey and Jahmai Simpson-Pusey as Koln look to extend their unbeaten run.
