Manchester United Signs Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United have moved to bolster their attacking options with a deal agreed to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete the transfer before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League deadline, as United step up their late-window business.

Jusu Bah only signed an extension with Häcken in September 2025 and is under contract until 2028, so United will pay a fee to prise her away from the Swedish club. The exact figure remains undisclosed, but the length of that deal underlines how highly Häcken valued her.

She has spent her entire career in Sweden, breaking through at Umeå before earning her move to Häcken in 2023, where her pace and direct running quickly turned her into a key threat from wide areas.

In May, she played a major role as Häcken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding European silverware to her growing résumé.

On the international stage, Jusu Bah has made 11 appearances for Sweden and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, underlining her status as a regular in a fiercely competitive national squad.

United are not done yet. The club are understood to be targeting at least one more signing before the window closes next week, as they attempt to sharpen a squad aiming to keep pace at the top of the WSL.

The move for Jusu Bah follows the arrivals of defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, signalling a clear late surge in recruitment at Old Trafford.
