The stadium project promises to create around 48,000 jobs and build 15,000 new homes, factors that appear to have eased opposition. Additionally, the development is expected to contribute approximately £7.3 billion to the UK economy, which could influence local authorities’ decisions.

Next, discussions with fans about the stadium’s design will take place before planning permission applications are submitted to Trafford Council, likely by late 2027 or early 2028.
