Achraf Hakimi, one of Luis Enrique’s key pillars on the right, limped off before half-time with what appeared to be a muscle problem. The Morocco international pulled up a few minutes before the break, clearly troubled, and headed straight for the touchline.

Luis Enrique cut a measured figure when asked about the defender’s condition after the match. The PSG coach, quoted by “Foot Mercato”, said: “Hakimi? I hope the injury is not serious, it is difficult to determine that. He will undergo a medical examination tomorrow.”

PSG now lean on their medical staff for answers. The tests will reveal the extent of the damage to Hakimi’s right adductor and, crucially, how long the 25-year-old might be out.
