Liverpool Sign Spanish Midfielder Natalia Ramos

Liverpool have moved again in a busy summer window, securing Spanish midfielder Natalia Ramos from CD Tenerife Femenino, subject to visa approval and international clearance.

The 27-year-old arrives as the Reds’ sixth signing of the off-season, a statement of intent from a club clearly reshaping its core. This is no speculative punt. Ramos comes with a heavy body of work behind her.

Across more than 200 appearances for Tenerife, she grew from promising youngster into the heartbeat of the side. Last season alone she featured 30 times in Spain’s top flight, delivering 10 goals and five assists from midfield – numbers that underline both her engine and her end product.

Ramos' Thoughts

The move, for her, felt obvious.

"I'm really, really happy," Ramos said. "I'm very excited to achieve this new step in my life and I'm very grateful for this new opportunity.

"For me it was a very easy decision and I'm very, very happy, with a lot of feelings and emotions because I know who the club is, the respect [it has].

"I feel very happy and privileged to take this shirt and sign at the club."

This is a player used to pressure and expectation. Ramos has already worn Spain’s colours at Under-17 and Under-19 level and was part of the squad that lifted the 2017 Women's European Under-19 Championship in Northern Ireland, a tournament that helped launch a generation now driving Spain’s rise in the women’s game.

New Signings

At Liverpool, she steps into a dressing room filling up fast with new faces. Ramos follows Mao Itamura, Vivien Endemann, Sara Agrez, Mari Ward and Khiara Keating through the door, a recruitment drive that has changed the look and feel of the squad in a single summer.

Now comes the real question: how far can this rebuilt Liverpool side go with a proven Spanish metronome added to its midfield?
