Liverpool Targets Bradley Barcola as Winger Priority

Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola has moved from background noise to centre stage – and events in Paris might just hand them the leverage they need.

That’s where the latest development matters. Fabrizio Romano has reported a breakthrough in talks between PSG and AS Monaco for Maghnes Akliouche. The French winger is now closing in on a move to Paris, and his arrival would almost certainly push Barcola down the pecking order.

If Akliouche walks through the door at the Parc des Princes, PSG’s reliance on Barcola drops. So does their bargaining power. That is exactly the scenario Liverpool have been waiting for.

Liverpool do not want this saga drifting into late August. The longer it drags, the weaker their hand becomes. Every club in Europe would know they’re short of a winger and running out of time, and the price on any alternative target would spike accordingly. Desperation in the market doesn’t just hurt; it lingers over a whole window.
