Jordan Graham in Hospital After Serious Road Traffic Accident

Former Birmingham City winger Jordan Graham is in hospital receiving specialist treatment after what has been described as a “serious road traffic accident”.

The 31-year-old’s condition was confirmed in a statement released by the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) on behalf of his family, following the incident earlier this month. No further medical details have been made public, but the tone was clear: this is a grave situation.

“His family are incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving,” the statement said, before asking for space and silence rather than messages and calls. They have requested privacy and urged people not to contact them directly while they “focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery”. Any updates, they stressed, will come only “when appropriate”.

Graham’s career has taken him across the English football map. An Aston Villa academy graduate, he broke through at Wolves and made 17 appearances for the club, punctuated by loan spells at Ipswich Town, Bradford City, Oxford United and Fulham as he searched for regular football and rhythm.

His most sustained run at Championship level came with Birmingham City, where he played 49 times between 2021 and 2023 after arriving from Gillingham. A wide player with quick feet and a willingness to run at defenders, he became a familiar figure at St Andrew’s during that spell.

Across his career, Graham has made 188 senior appearances. He has been without a club since leaving Leyton Orient in 2025, but his name and personality clearly left a mark in the dressing rooms he passed through.

The response from former clubs underlined that. Gillingham issued a message of support, saying: “Everyone at the club is thinking of Jordan and his family at this time. We wish him a full and swift recovery.” Orient added their own, shorter but no less heartfelt note: “We’re all with you JG.”
