Inter Milan Pursues Moussa Diaby with €40m Offer

Inter Milan have come back for Moussa Diaby, this time with money on the table and a winger in form.

The Italian giants have lodged a €40 million offer with Al-Ittihad for the France international, according to media figure Mohammed Al-Bukairi, as they look to finally land a player they chased hard last summer.

Back then, Al-Ittihad slammed the door. Inter pushed, Diaby was open to the move, but the Saudi club refused to blink and kept him in Jeddah.

The context now feels very different.

Diaby has delivered a sharp response to the criticism that followed him at the end of last season. Throughout pre-season he has impressed both technically and physically, forcing his way back into the spotlight and reminding everyone why European clubs tracked him so closely before his move to Al-Ittihad.

Those performances have strengthened Inter’s conviction and complicated Al-Ittihad’s dilemma in equal measure.

Club management are currently dissecting the bid from every angle — sporting, financial, and administrative — before making a call on the 24-year-old’s future. Lose him now and they cash in at a significant fee. Keep him and they build around a winger who looks hungry again and ready to lead from the flanks.

Inter, for their part, are not testing the waters anymore. A concrete offer is in, and the pressure has shifted firmly onto Al-Ittihad’s boardroom.

They resisted once. The question now is whether they can — or should — do it again.
