Georgios Donis is about to show his hand.

The Greek head coach of Saudi Arabia will announce his final squad for the Arabian Gulf Cup 27 on Wednesday, according to Saudi channel Al-Ekhbariya, locking in his choices a week before the tournament kicks off in Jeddah on 23 September.

The timing leaves little room for second thoughts. The Gulf’s regional showpiece runs until 6 October, and Donis must commit now, even as key pieces fall away.
