Edo Queens vs Ampem Darkoa: No Let-Up in WAFU B Clash

Edo Queens head coach Kennedy Boboye insists there will be no let-up as his side close out their group campaign against Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the WAFU B Women’s Champions League.

Already safely into the semi-finals after winning their first two matches, the Nigerian champions could have treated matchday three as a chance to rotate heavily and coast. Boboye wants nothing of it.

He has promised a strong side, a performance to match their status, and a group of players ready to empty the tank.

“We don’t have any player to rest; it’s only one of our defenders who was ruled out of the tournament due to a head injury,” Boboye said ahead of the clash, underlining the intensity he expects from his squad despite qualification already secured.

One absentee, but no excuses. The message is clear: everyone else is on call.

“All the players in the squad will come out and play when needed, and they will surely give their all to the team,” he added, backing the depth and hunger in his group.

Edo Queens have looked the part so far in the regional showpiece, and a statement against Ampem Darkoa would reinforce their credentials as serious contenders for the title.
