Crystal Palace Sign Axel Disasi on Loan for 2026-27 Season
Crystal Palace have added serious weight to their back line, confirming the loan signing of Axel Disasi from Chelsea for the 2026-27 season.
The 28-year-old centre-back arrives with Premier League miles already on the clock. Since joining Chelsea in 2023, Disasi has taken in loan spells at Aston Villa and West Ham, racking up 58 top-flight appearances across the three clubs and earning five senior caps for France along the way.
Now his next stop is Selhurst Park – a ground he already knows, but from the other side of the fight.
"I'm very happy," Disasi said after the deal was announced. "The club has been going in a very good direction, so I think it was the right place for me to keep going. I know that it's very tough to play against Palace at Selhurst Park - so I'm looking forward to being on the other side now."
This is not a quiet tweak to the squad. Disasi becomes Palace’s seventh signing of the summer under new manager Pierre Sage, another clear sign that the Frenchman is reshaping the dressing room with purpose and pace.
Chairman Steve Parish underlined the significance of the move.
"We are pleased welcome a defender of Axel's experience and calibre to Palace for the season. I look forward to seeing him in action at Selhurst Park," he said.
A France international in the heart of defence, a manager intent on remodelling, and a board backing that vision. The question now is simple: with Disasi through the door, where should Palace strike next before the window slams shut?
