Colin Dagba Joins Carrarese Calcio After Leaving Belgian Football

Former PSG Defender Colin Dagba Signs with Serie B Club Carrarese Calcio

After departing Belgian side Beerschot as a free agent, Colin Dagba, the ex-Paris Saint-Germain right-back, has made an unexpected move to Italian Serie B team Carrarese Calcio. The 27-year-old defender has committed to a contract lasting until June 2028, with a clause allowing automatic extension based on performance.

New Chapter in Italy's Second Division

This transfer offers Dagba a chance to restart his career after his exit from Belgium on July 1. Known for his speed and attacking skills, the French full-back brings both offensive and defensive qualities to the Apuan club. Carrarese praised his versatility and consistency in marking opponents.

Career Highlights at Paris Saint-Germain

During his time with PSG, Dagba appeared 77 times across all competitions, including seven Champions League matches. He earned three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France wins, and two Trophee des Champions trophies. Loan spells at Strasbourg and Auxerre followed before his stint in Belgium.

The team sits 14th in Serie B after managing just one point from their first two league games. Dagba might debut soon as Carrarese prepare to face Empoli at home on September 5. That match is crucial for the club to gain momentum and aim for their opening league victory of the season.
