Caleb Taylor has promised Millwall will go straight for West Ham United’s throat when the Dockers Derby roars back into life at The Den on Saturday lunchtime.

The 23-year-old defender, speaking on the BBC’s EFL 72+ podcast, said the squad has been wired for this fixture ever since the Championship schedule dropped. This isn’t just another game. It’s the first Dockers Derby since February 2012, and Millwall can feel it.

“We’ve been buzzing for it since the fixtures came out,” is the message from inside the camp. Taylor, ever-present in the league this season, is ready for the noise and the needle.
