His current deal runs for another two years, but Liverpool are prepared to extend it and upgrade his terms to reflect his growing importance.

For now, there is no appetite from Mac Allister or his entourage to explore an exit. The focus is on getting back to work, bedding into Iraola’s system and becoming a central pillar of the next Liverpool iteration.
