Real Madrid's Position on Endrick Amid Aston Villa Interest

Endrick has started the new season at Real Madrid after a successful loan period at Lyon last season, but his future remains uncertain due to heavy competition in attack. This situation has sparked interest from several clubs, including Roma, Aston Villa, and Real Sociedad.

According to AS, Jose Mourinho has left the choice of another loan spell up to Endrick. Yet, Trivela reports that Real Madrid does not plan to sell the young Brazilian.

Pre-season and Position Battle

Endrick was part of Real Madrid's starting lineup during pre-season. In an early August friendly against Fiorentina, he played 75 minutes and scored in a 2-2 draw. The following weekend against Ferencvaros, he appeared for 64 minutes in a win.

In both games, he featured as the centre-forward in Mourinho’s 4-2-3-1 setup. Still, uncertainty lingers about whether he will play as the main striker or on the right wing, where he operated during his loan at Lyon. Both roles come with fierce competition.

Kylian Mbappe is firmly expected to keep the lead striker spot. On the right side, the newly signed Yan Diomande, who cost over 85 million euros, could be first choice. Other contenders for that wing position include Brahim Diaz, Arda Guler, Denzel Dumfries, and Bernardo Silva.

Interest From Other Clubs

With such competition, multiple clubs have expressed interest in Endrick. Roma has reportedly inquired about a loan deal, while Aston Villa has submitted an offer for a loan to strengthen their attack ahead of their Champions League return under Unai Emery. Spanish side Real Sociedad also showed interest, having tried to sign him before his move to Lyon. Reports from Marca suggest Premier League clubs are watching too.

Trivela states Real Madrid has no plans to let Endrick go this transfer window. Since December last year, the club’s plan has involved loaning him out temporarily to gain minutes, then bringing him back—without any option for permanent transfer or renewal.

The football market can change quickly though, with injuries or irresistible offers potentially altering the plans of both Real Madrid and Endrick. For now, no movement toward a transfer has been made by either party.

Endrick's Own Intentions

Before his loan to Lyon, Endrick wanted to stay at Real Madrid but moved due to limited playing time under coach Xabi Alonso. After a strong season under Carlo Ancelotti, where he inherited the number nine shirt but saw little action (only 11 minutes in La Liga), the loan was necessary.

During his six months at Lyon, Endrick made a strong impression, scoring or assisting 12 goals in 16 league games and adding four goals in five cup and Europa League matches.

His return to Real Madrid reflects his desire to remain at the club. The club’s strategy aligns with this wish, leaving it to Jose Mourinho to manage Endrick’s playing time this season.
