Morgan Gibbs-White has been added to Thomas Tuchel's England squad, stepping in for Cole Palmer, who is withdrawing due to load management concerns. The announcement came after Palmer's withdrawal was confirmed on Monday, as reported by The Athletic.

The 26-year-old Nottingham Forest midfielder had been on a family trip in Dubai following Forest's 1-0 Premier League loss to Coventry City last Saturday. He has since returned to England and will join Tuchel’s group ahead of the Three Lions’ Nations League campaign.

Despite a strong start to the season, Gibbs-White was not included in Tuchel’s initial 27-man roster. Last season, he scored 15 goals in the Premier League and holds six caps for England, making his senior debut in September 2024.

Cole Palmer’s Withdrawal and Form

Palmer has pulled out after scoring four goals and registering two assists across seven appearances for Chelsea this season. His latest match was a full 90 minutes in Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat by Brentford on Friday.
