LaLiga 2026-27 Fixture List Released

The Spanish Football Federation has unveiled the full schedule for the 2026-27 LaLiga season. A total of 380 matches in the Primera División will take place from August 15 to May 30.

Opening Matches and Early Fixtures

Barcelona will kick off their title defense against Athletic Club. Meanwhile, Mourinho’s Real Madrid open with a game against Real Sociedad. Due to players’ participation in the World Cup semi-finals and final, the opening rounds involving these teams—plus Atlético Madrid facing Málaga and Valencia playing Betis—are scheduled midweek on August 25, 26, or 27.

Promoted clubs Racing, Deportivo, and Málaga start their campaigns against Villarreal, Elche, and Atlético Madrid respectively. Some teams such as Villarreal, Málaga, and Real Sociedad begin with away games owing to stadium renovations, local events, or security reasons.

Key Dates and Rivalries

The Madrid derby comes early this season, with Atlético hosting Real Madrid on September 20. Their second meeting is set for April 4. The first El Clásico is scheduled at Camp Nou on October 25, while the return fixture will be played at Santiago Bernabéu on May 9.

Scheduling Details and Breaks

The calendar was carefully arranged by the federation, LaLiga, and Liga F, considering over 400 constraints to avoid conflicts with other Spanish competitions. This season marks Valencia’s farewell to Mestalla stadium, with their final home game against Elche.

There will be no football over Christmas, with a break from December 22 until January 2. The league will also pause for international breaks during September 21 to October 6, November 9 to 17, and March 22 to 30. Only two midweek rounds are planned: rounds 6 and 33.
