Kalvin Phillips Approaching Another Loan Move from Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is close to securing a second loan spell with Sheffield United, now competing in the Championship. The 30-year-old, who joined Man City from Leeds United in 2022, has struggled for game time, featuring just 32 times for the club.

Since the end of the 2023-24 season, Phillips has appeared only once for the Citizens and spent loan spells at West Ham United, Ipswich Town, and Sheffield United. His previous stint at Sheffield United last season was limited to three appearances due to a knee injury, but it seems he will return to the Blades.

The Manchester Evening News reports that the deal to send Phillips back to Sheffield United should be finalized soon. Though he still has two years remaining on his contract with Man City, he was omitted from their pre-season tour squad to facilitate this move away from the Etihad Stadium.

PSG Close to Signing Monaco Forward Maghnes Akliouche

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain is nearing agreement to sign Monaco attacker Maghnes Akliouche. The 24-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs, including Liverpool, but PSG appears to have edged ahead in negotiations.

Akliouche has made 139 appearances for Monaco across all competitions, tallying 23 goals and 28 assists. Last season alone, he contributed seven goals and 11 assists in 43 matches. He also brings valuable Champions League experience, having scored three times and assisted five goals in 20 games.

The versatile French international often plays on the right side of attack but can operate in multiple roles across the final third.

Middlesbrough in Talks to Re-sign Everton Goalkeeper Mark Travers

Middlesbrough has reportedly opened discussions with Everton to bring goalkeeper Mark Travers back on loan. Travers, an Ireland international, previously played 17 times for Boro during the 2024-25 season on loan.

After moving from Bournemouth to Everton last summer, Travers only featured twice last season behind first-choice Jordan Pickford. Football Insider suggests that Middlesbrough aims to secure another loan deal for him for the 2026-27 campaign as Travers desires regular playing time.

Wrexham is also said to be interested in the goalkeeper, who made 82 appearances for Bournemouth before joining Everton.
