Jeremy Doku Commits to Manchester City with New Five-Year Deal

Manchester City has confirmed that Belgian winger Jeremy Doku has signed a new five-year contract, securing his future at the Etihad Stadium through 2031. This extension comes as the club prepares for a fresh chapter under manager Enzo Maresca.

At 24 years old, Doku has quickly become a central figure since joining from Stade Rennais in 2023. Known for his explosive speed and technical skill, he stands out as one of the Premier League’s most dangerous wide players. His commitment follows other top talents like Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol, and Abdukodir Khusanov, who have also recently extended their contracts.

Doku’s debut season was remarkable, marked by a standout performance against Bournemouth where he set a Premier League record as the youngest player to register four assists and five goal involvements in one match. That year, he played over 40 games, scoring six goals and assisting 11, helping City clinch their fourth straight league title.

Despite challenges in the 2024-25 campaign, Doku remained dependable, finishing with eight goals and nine assists while improving defensively. By 2025-26, under Pep Guardiola’s final season, he became essential, contributing significantly to City's domestic cup double, including a crucial equalizer and assist in the FA Cup semi-final versus Southampton.
