Jérémy Doku Signs New Five-Year Contract with Manchester City

Jérémy Doku has committed his future to Manchester City, signing a new five-year contract that runs until 2031, with an option for a further year, the club have confirmed.

The winger, who turned 24 this year, becomes the latest pillar of Pep Guardiola’s squad to be tied down on a long-term deal after Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Abdukodir Khusanov all agreed extensions earlier in the summer. City are locking in their core, and Doku is very much part of that plan.

He featured 47 times in all competitions last season, scoring eight goals and adding the kind of direct, high-tempo threat that Guardiola has increasingly leaned on in big games. The new contract underlines how central the Belgian is expected to be in the next cycle of this team.

Reijnders talks with Al-Qadsiah

Sources have told ESPN that City are in negotiations with Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah over a deal for midfielder Tijjani Reijnders. Discussions are ongoing over a package worth more than £50 million, though no agreement has yet been reached.

Reijnders only arrived at the Etihad last summer from Milan in a £46.5m move and, like Doku, made 47 appearances across all competitions in his debut campaign. One season on, City are listening to serious offers.

The club’s stance is clear: any midfielder who leaves before the deadline will be replaced. City are preparing for churn in the middle of the pitch, not resisting it.

Rodri situation looms over City’s midfield
