Inter Milan Pursues Curtis Jones Amid Frattesi Talks
Inter Milan’s move for Curtis Jones is beginning to gather shape, with the Italian champions working behind the scenes to clear space in midfield for the Liverpool man.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Lazio have approached Inter over a deal for Davide Frattesi. Any serious progress there would be a key trigger: it would free up both a place and funds, and push Inter closer to launching a fresh assault for Jones.
Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari of TV Dello Sport backs that up, stating that Jones remains a priority target for the Nerazzurri and that the interest runs both ways. Inter, he says, still see the Liverpool academy product as their first-choice option for the middle of the pitch, and are preparing to return to the table with the Reds.
The plan is clear. Inter are working on outgoing deals – with Frattesi at the centre of that strategy – and once those are resolved, they intend to “relaunch” talks with Liverpool in an effort to narrow the gap to the Premier League club’s valuation.
Crucially, the player is already on board. Jones has given the green light to a switch to San Siro and wants the transfer, leaving the next move squarely in the hands of Inter’s hierarchy and Liverpool’s negotiators.
