Hull City Secures Seventh Summer Signing

Hull City have confirmed the acquisition of Sweden international Elliot Stroud from Allsvenskan champions Mjallby for a reported £3.5 million. The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year deal with an option for an additional year at the MKM Stadium.

A Promising Addition to the Premier League Squad

Stroud arrives as the seventh new signing for the Tigers this summer, following their promotion to the Premier League. Known for his versatility, he brings strong European experience and international credentials to the club. During his time at Mjallby, he scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists in 87 league matches, contributing significantly to the club's 2025 Allsvenskan title and Svenska Cupen victory.

World Cup Experience Fuels Ambition

His domestic success earned him a spot in Sweden’s 2026 World Cup squad, where he appeared in four games as Sweden reached the round of 32. Reflecting on his move, Stroud told the club's official website:

"I am super happy and super excited to get started here. When I first heard of the interest, it was the only thing I wanted to do. I have individual hopes to play at the highest level possible. When an opportunity like this comes, it’s not something you take lightly. To do it here in Hull is an exciting opportunity."
