Galatasaray Rejects €130m Al-Hilal Bid for Victor Osimhen

Galatasaray have turned down a staggering €130m offer from Al-Hilal for Victor Osimhen, making it clear they have no interest in even opening talks over a summer sale.

The Saudi Pro League club lodged the verbal proposal on Wednesday through intermediaries, pushing hard to finally land a striker they have tracked for years. The answer from Istanbul was blunt: no deal, no negotiation.

According to Sky Sports, Galatasaray informed Al-Hilal that Osimhen is simply not for sale in this window.

The stance underlines just how central the Nigerian has become. Since arriving from Napoli on an initial loan in 2024, Osimhen has exploded in Turkey, scoring 59 goals in 74 games for the Süper Lig champions. Galatasaray made that loan permanent last summer for a club- and country-record €75m fee, a move that now looks like a bargain in the context of Al-Hilal’s failed €130m swoop.

Al-Hilal’s long chase hits a wall

Al-Hilal’s interest is nothing new. The Saudi giants came close to signing Osimhen before his move to Istanbul and have kept him firmly on their radar as they reshape their attack.

The plan was clear: bring in Osimhen as the marquee centre-forward to spearhead a renewed title push in 2026/27. They finished second last season, just two points behind champions Al-Nassr, and want a ruthless No. 9 to turn that narrow gap into a trophy.

The pressure in their forward line is only increasing. The club are expected to sanction the departure of Darwin Nunez in the coming days, with Osimhen identified as the high-profile replacement to lead the line.

They have already moved aggressively in the market, completing a £60m deal for Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United. With Karim Benzema and Malcolm already in the attacking unit, Osimhen was meant to be the final, statement piece.

Instead, Galatasaray’s refusal has left that plan on hold. The Saudi club may have the money, but for now, the Turkish champions have the leverage — and no intention of letting their star striker go.
