The 2029 final at Camp Nou will take place one year before Spain co-hosts the 2030 World Cup with Portugal and Morocco. The 2030 World Cup final venue is still undecided, contested between Real Madrid's revamped Santiago Bernabéu and a new 115,000-seat stadium under construction in Casablanca.

Munich Confirmed for 2028 Final

UEFA’s executive committee also confirmed that the 2028 Champions League final will be held at Bayern Munich’s stadium. It was the only candidate for that year, hosting just three years after the 2025 final.

The choice of Camp Nou comes seven months after Barcelona officially dropped legal proceedings against UEFA related to the failed Super League project, which had been led by clubs like Real Madrid.

The ongoing renovation of Camp Nou aims to make it the largest soccer stadium in Europe, with a capacity of 105,000 seats. Construction is still underway, focusing on the upper tier and roof.

The increased size should allow more supporters of the finalist teams to attend. For comparison, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal each received 17,200 tickets from the 61,400 available at last year's final in Budapest’s Puskás Arena.
