Arsenal Keeps Pursuit of Bradley Barcola Amid Liverpool Interest After Missing Morgan Rogers
Arsenal Eyes Bradley Barcola Despite Losing Out on Morgan Rogers
Arsenal are reportedly still interested in signing French forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain, even after their failed attempt to secure Morgan Rogers, who moved to Chelsea from Aston Villa. The 23-year-old Barcola has caught attention following a strong World Cup showing for France, scoring three goals in eight matches.
Sources from Sky Sports News indicate that PSG might consider letting Barcola leave if they receive an appealing offer before the transfer window closes. PSG's pursuit of Yan Diomande could open up opportunities for Barcola to find regular playing time elsewhere. Currently, he is behind players like Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue in the squad hierarchy.
Despite this, PSG values Barcola and would prefer to retain him unless a suitable deal appears. Arsenal’s interest remains strong as they look for additional attacking options, especially after missing out on Rogers. The club is also close to signing Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge in a £34 million deal, intending to fill the void left by Leandro Trossard’s departure.
Liverpool Also in the Race for Barcola
Liverpool are actively pursuing Barcola as part of their summer rebuild, having already signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna. The Reds aim to reinforce their forward line as they prepare for a future without Mohamed Salah. They admire Barcola greatly but face challenges in agreeing on a fee with PSG.
Manager Andoni Iraola has acknowledged the need for another wide player. Liverpool have also expressed interest in Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche. Competition between Arsenal and Liverpool could intensify as both clubs chase Barcola during this transfer window.
